A man who allegedly went on the run after ramming police cars on the NSW south coast has been arrested.

The 30-year-old is wanted on four arrest warrants for break and enters and motor vehicle thefts in the South Nowra and Windsor areas late last year.

Police also want to speak to him over three armed robbery offences south of Wollongong, and two other traffic-related incidents.

The man allegedly evaded police three times in recent days by ramming officers' vehicles.

Most recently, about 12.15pm (AEDT) on Friday, police say they spotted the man driving a four-wheel drive in the Nowra area.

The man allegedly reversed the 4WD into a pursuing police car, causing significant damage.

He allegedly crashed north of Browns Road and ran into nearby bushland.

The man was arrested about 6.30pm (AEDT) on Friday in Nowra.

He was taken to Nowra Police Station, where four arrest warrants were executed for property offences.

He was also charged with three counts of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, two counts of not stopping after a police pursuit, and resisting and assaulting police.

He will appear at Nowra Local Court on Saturday.
