EUROPE'S AIR SAFETY AGENCY IS JOINING THE U-S, JAPAN AND INDIA, AND GROUNDING ALL BOEING 787'S.

THE EUROPEAN AVIATION SAFETY AGENCY SAYS IT'S GROUNDING THE MASSIVE JETLINER UNTIL THE RISK OF BATTERY FIRES IS RESOLVED.

THE 787, KNOWN AS THE DREAMLINER, HAS BEEN PLAGUED BY A NUMBER OF INCIDENTS, THE MOST RECENT BEING AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN JAPAN ON WEDNESDAY.

SOME PASSENGERS EXPECTING TO FLY ON A 7-87 WERE GROUNDED IN CHICAGO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

2. SOUNDBITE: FRANK JOOST / POLISH AIRLINES

"lot Airlines, the Polish Airlines, has cancelled the inaugural departure from Chicago to Warsaw. The plane has landed here safely, just now about five minutes ago, passengers are being deboarded right now. The reason for the cancellation is that Boeing and the FAA have issued the recommendation to our board to cancel the flight."
