MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Li Na has advanced to the third round of the Australian Open for the fourth consecutive year with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Olga Govortsova of Belarus on Wednesday.

The 2011 French Open champion is trying to add a second Grand Slam title, and the Australian Open appears to be her best chance. She advanced to the 2010 semifinals, the 2011 final — losing to Kim Clijsters — and the fourth round here last year.

Li faced two set points at 5-3 in the ninth game of the second set, but came back to level the set at 5-5 before breaking Govorsova's serve to clinch the match.

Li converted five of her six breakpoint chances, while Govortsova was just 2 for 10.
