The hunt for a gunman continues after the fatal shooting of a man, reportedly linked to the Hells Angels bikie gang, at a transport company in Sydney's southwest.
Police were called to Wetherill Park shortly before 4pm (AEDT) on Tuesday following reports of a double shooting at the Dynamic Transport premises on Hassall Street.
A 45-year-old man suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the body and died at the scene.
Another man, 31, was shot in the right arm and was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Media have named the dead man as the owner of Dynamic Transport, Zeljko "Steve" Mitrovic.
Mr Mitrovic was a life member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, Fairfax Media reports.
Police have not released the identity of the deceased, but confirmed the two shooting victims were connected to Dynamic Transport.
Acting Superintendent Steve Thomas said the dead man's family had rushed to the building following news of the shooting.
"The family has been present on the scene, they are very distraught by the situation," he told reporters.
He would not confirm whether the victims were known to police or whether the incident was linked to previous shootings.
Officers were now looking for a gunman, Supt Thomas said.
"We are looking for a person of interest," he said.
At this stage the investigation is very early and we are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry."
